Thank you to all our private donors and small businesses. You have made it possible for us to go above and beyond helping to provide some of the basic needs for our foster kids. Your donations have been used to help supplement the cost of summer camps, music lessons, educational expenses and many other incidentals that occur when having children in our homes. Your generosity and compassion are have made a huge difference!
Thank you to Ms. McComas’s Silverwood Elementary class. Not only did they help us out with our Christmas Party this year, but through a hot mac ‘n cheese lunch fundraiser were able to purchase a big number of flip flops and baseball caps for our foster kids.
A big ‘thank you’ to the Windermere Foundation and the Windermere Mt. Vernon office employees!
CFSF recently applied to the Windermere Foundation and was chosen by their Mt. Vernon office as a recipient of funds. This generous group will be supporting foster children in their area by helping with the costs of camp or music, dance, etc. lessons. The support from our communities is wonderful and makes such a difference in the lives of our foster kids.
Families served by our Burlington office should contact Jackie or Julie with requests.
Once again, a big THANK YOU to Mattress Firm. CFSF had five children come into receiving care this week with only the clothes on their backs. Because of the generosity of Mattress Firm and their drive supporters, we were able to purchase clothing and give $25 gift cards to the foster parents to purchase much needed personal hygiene items and fill in around the clothing we supplied. This could’ve been a ‘maybe we can’ situation but with Mattress Firm’s support, it became ‘we can do it’. Again CFSF just had three more children come into receiving care with only the clothes they were wearing. Thanks to Mattress Firm’s foster kid program and their generous donors, CFSF was able to provide three $25 WalMart gift cards and clothing items to get these children necessary personal hygiene and clothing items.
Thank you to the Pajama Program who has graciously donated hundreds of pajamas and books to our foster kids over the years. Their philosophy of “By offering the magical gifts of pajamas and books, we bring a caring bedtime ritual into their lives. Changing out of their clothes and into warm, cozy pajamas lets them shed the stresses of their day, trading them for feelings of warmth and hope. With enchanting stories, their imaginations are opened, helping them to dream again. These unconditional gifts fill them with love and a feeling of being cared for, transitioning them to bedtime and delivering a good night — preparing them for a good day that leads to a better life.”, has been a gift to many of our kids! Thank you for your generosity and vision.
CFSF is now a Community Ticket Partner with the Seattle Aquarium. We recently received 200 tickets to be used by our foster families (I originally asked for 100 and they were gone so quickly, I called and asked for more) … what a great opportunity for a family outing! So a big ‘thank you’ goes out to the Seattle Aquarium for offering this wonderful program.

CFSF was honored and grateful to receive a check from the Alaska Airlines Employee Program that matches employee donations. Chuck Wood, one of our board members, donated to us through this program, Alaska Airlines matched it and a check arrived in our mail. Thank you, Chuck, for your continued support. It is truly appreciated.
Those of you who have chosen CFSF as the recipient of your Combined Federal Campaign or Combined Fund Drive donations are appreciated.
